Reduce Winter Gasoline Use for $40! Electric Defrost

Hi everyone. I've been trying to come up with an effective, elegant way to electrically defrost my windshield. I want to do this to avoid using gasoline, as the engine comes on when I call for defrost at approx 35f and lower. Sometimes, I don't need cabin heat, battery is full, and the engine turns off. Drives me nuts. Anyway, I tested out an option today and got really good results, at 3f. I bought the Cozy Legs Flat Panel Heater from Cozy Products. They do make the same product...
