New Clicking noise

So we did the recall update mid Sept. Ever since we get a clicking noise after the van has been driven for more than 20mins. Generally I hear this when on electric only, might happen with gas but alot harder to hear. Coming from between the mid and rear row assuming rear battery area. Can be heard from interior and exterior. More so on exterior/rear of vehicle. Its a cycling noise of on/off, some sort of pump. Is there a rear coolant pump for the battery, or maybe this is a the fuel pump... New Clicking noise

Diagnostic Fault Information

Circuit/System Description

When the headlight switch is placed in low beam position, the body control module (BCM) applies a voltage to the low beam headlamps through

their respective voltage supply circuits.

Conditions for Running the DTC

The headlamps are turned ON.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

B2575 01

The BCM detects a short to voltage on the left headlamp low beam control circuit.

B2575 02

The BCM detects a short to ground on the left headlamp low beam control circuit.

B2575 04

The BCM detects an open on the left headlamp low beam control circuit or an open/high resistance on the left headlamp low beam ground circuit.

3. Reconnect the harness connector at the S38 ignition mode switch.

4. Ignition ON, disconnect the harness connector at the S38 ignition mode switch.

5. Verify a test lamp illuminates between ignition mode switch terminal 6 and ground.

瀚慖f the test lamp does not illuminate, test the circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal replace the

K9 BCM.

6. Connect a test lamp between the control circuit 5 and ground.

7. Command the body control module-keyless entry control module-run/start power mode indicator test with a scan tool. The test lamp should

turn ON and OFF when changing between the commanded states.

瀚慖f the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for a short to voltage. If all circuits test normal, replace the K9 BCM.

瀚慖f the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If all circuits test normal, replace

the K9 BCM.

8. Connect a test lamp between the control circuit 2 and ground.

9. Command the body control module-keyless entry control module-accessory power mode indicator test with a scan tool.

If all circuits test normal, replace

the K9 BCM.

10. If all circuits test normal, replace the S38 ignition mode switch.

Component Testing

1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness at the S38 ignition mode switch.

2. Place a jumper wire between ignition mode switch terminal 4 and ground.

3. Place a fused jumper wire between the circuit terminals of the ignition mode switch listed below and B+:

* Ignition mode switch terminal 2

* Ignition mode switch terminal 5

瀚慖f the either LED does not light, replace the S38 ignition mode switch.

4. Without the button pressed, test for 4,870 ohm between the ignition mode switch terminals listed below:

* Ignition mode switch terminals 3 and 7

* Ignition mode switch terminals 4 and 6

瀚慖f not the specified value, replace the S38 ignition mode switch.

5. With the button pressed, test for 1,300 ohm between the ignition mode switch terminals listed below:

* Ignition mode switch terminals 3 and 7

* Ignition mode switch terminals 4 and 6

瀚慖f not the specified value, replace the S38 ignition mode switch.

Circuit/System Description

Stepper motors are used for temperature regulation, air distribution control and recirculation door control.

With the appropriate switches at the Radio/HVAC control, the desired air temperature door position, air distribution door position and recirculation

door position can be put in. The selected values are passed to the HVAC control module via the LIN-Bus. The HVAC control module supplies a 12

V reference voltage to the stepper motors and energizes the 4 stepper motor coils with a pulsed ground signal. The stepper motors put the

appropriate door into the calculated position, in order to reach the put in temperature/position.

Conditions for Running the DTC

* Ignition ON.

* The HVAC control module is ON.

Body - Chrome Outside Door Handle Loose/Cracked

TECHNICAL

Bulletin No.: 09-08-64-032A

Date: April 18, 2011

Subject: Chrome Outside Door Handle Loose/Cracked at Attachment Screw (Replace Handle)

Models:

2007-2011 Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Escalade EXT

2007-2011 Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe

2007-2011 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali, Yukon Denali XL

Supercede:

This bulletin is being revised to add model years, update the Parts Information and add a Caution. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number

09-08-64-032 (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).

Condition

Some customers may comment that a chrome outside door handle is loose or cracked in the area of the attachment screws.

Cause

For 2007 and 2008 models, this condition may be caused by grease used on the attachment screws during the assembly process, which can migrate

into the handle screw bosses and cause degradation. Among other contributing factors to this condition is that the initial assembly torque of the

attachment screws was too high, which may have helped initiate cracks in the screw bosses.

Correction

Important

When replacing a chrome outside door handle for this condition, be sure to address the following:

- Ensure that the attachment screws are free from grease before installing the new handle. Clean the screws with Kent Automotive

Acrysol(TM) P/N 20005, or an equivalent grease removing body solvent.

- Torque the screws to 6 Nm (53 lb in).

Caution

Exceeding the recommended screw torque of 6 Nm (53 lb in) could result in the thread insert pulling out of the handle base, as shown in the graphic

above.

2010 Cadillac Truck Escalade/ESV RWD V8-6.2L Page 173

Replace the affected chrome outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement, Rear Side Door Outside Handle

Replacement, or Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Crew Cab) in SI.

Parts Information

Acrysol(TM) is available from Kent Automotive at 1-888-YES-KENT or online at www.kent-automotive.com.
