4. Install a 3 A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal A and the ground circuit terminal B.
5. Verify the scan tool Brake Fluid Level Sensor parameter is Low. The parameter may take up to 60 seconds to go from OK to Low.
瀚慖f not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the
K17 EBCM.
6. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the B20 brake fluid level switch.
Component Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B20 brake fluid level switch.
2. With the brake fluid in the brake master cylinder reservoir above the MIN level, test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal A and
the ground terminal B.
瀚慖f not the specified value, replace the B20 brake fluid level switch.
3. With the brake master cylinder reservoir empty, test for less than 2 ohm between the signal terminal A and the ground terminal B.
瀚慖f greater than the specified range, replace the B20 brake fluid level switch.
